Peshawar Zalmi will face off against Quetta Gladiators in the second game of the 9th edition of the Pakistan Super League. The match will take place today at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium, which also hosted the season’s opening match.

Peshawar’s star batsman, Babar Azam, will lead the team, and Rilee Rossouw will captain Quetta Gladiators, all eyes are on the Gaddafi Stadium for what promises to be an entertaining contest.

Both teams intend to start the tournament on a positive note after failing to climb the ladder last year. The match is expected to be an evenly-contested affair with the unfamiliarity of both teams to the Lahore conditions barring the few international regulars.

Lol I m so happy to see sarfraz not captaining. That disgraceful guy should have been kicked out.

Saud shakeel and that sarfraz in a T20. Awful selections from team management.

This fascination with Gold has spilled over from IPL over to the PSL kits it seems. Too much of it on display

this goes to prove any accumaltor can play at opening position in t20s even shan masood can take advantage of powerplay
this goes to show how fraud babar and rizwan are

Dont trust these speed guns

no way is Zeeshan a 140kmh bowler

"Zalmi dont have good spinners on the bench"

what a lie by Waqar! They have Waqar Salamkhiel. He is very good

Again Sana taking digs at Sarfaraz because she loves Rizwan

Khwaja Nafay has a jaw like Shaheen and eyes like junaid safdar

18 came of his over. quetta is off to a blistering start. Thanks to Jamal here

Refreshing to see Saud bat like the way he is now. 'Khul kay khel' has been taken seriously by him.

He always said saud should open in limited overs. Another slap to clown sarfraz for benching him for 3 years.

Saud is playing surprisingly well. Quite a few creative shots too.

not surprisingly well.

Anyone who watches cricket regularly could tell he would be a good opener. Not extremely dynamic but very good like Devon Conway

Don't jump to the conclusion about saud. Let him play the whole season first to see how consistent he can be.

3 overs for 30 on a road for a 18 year old debutant in the powerplay is very good if you ask me

Amir Jamal should only play tests at the moment. He's a spray gun in shorter formats.

If PSL wickets are going to be this rubbish for bowling, you have to then target 80 in the powerplay

Match is between Quetta and Peshawar, and match happening in Lahore. Why not in Quetta or Peshawar? This is weird

You won't believe he's been benched for 33 consecutive matches.
Had he played earlier, he wouldnt have realised what is needed to play modern cricket. He was essentially an acumalator . Hes sat out, realised what he needs to do to play the level of cricket you need to play and has come good

He is playing shots with full control and confidence. To be honest he has better shot selection than Babar Azam

That’s on him sadly. He was always a trailblazer in domestics, but severely tanked his own brand in internationals by playing like a snail.

Yes it’s in tests, but even tests aren’t played at 30 SR these days.

It was bad enough that he hurt his brand in the neighboring formats.

But hopefully he has woken up.

Shafique woke up in LOIs last year, now it’s his turn.

Absolute tripe bowling

they will lose evert game which they do not chase in

This is where he lacks, middle overs

no power game to kick on and maximise for sixes. Just looking to play the field due to a lack of power

watch Roy, he will not look to manipulate the field. He will bosh it if its there. Thats the difference between a Proper T20 opener and a make shift accumalator

IMO the game hasnt gotten away from PZ at the moment.

Peshawar playing 2 full time bowlers (Salman and Wood) and 1 youngster bowler Zeeshan.

Apart from that there's nothing in their bowling line up

IMO the game hasnt gotten away from PZ at the moment.
because it's a day game, dew will not be a factor in the 2nd innings like it was yesterday. so it will not be easy for PZ if they need to chase 190ish

Saim getting away with a 6 run over

pathetic when you have two set batters
